I was born and raised in Reno, Nevada, and although I yearn to branch out and travel to the far reaches of the world, this is home, and I am very involved in the community here. I received my BA from the University of Nevada, Reno, in 2002, and my MBA in 2011.
I created this blog because of my love for animals. I have found them to be such a source of happiness and inspiration, and could not imagine my life without being connected to them. I am an active participant in many community-based animal-related events, and volunteer at the local humane society. In addition, I am the owner of a very spoiled, rescued Shiba Inu mix. My hope in creating this blog is to provide a fun, interactive, “one-stop shopping” forum for all things animal: boarding, vets, non-profits, boutiques, events and adoption information.
